The Invisible Prison by Pat Boran

Pat Boran's new prose book, The Invisible Prison, continues to attract favorable attention, with an extract in The Irish Times (04 Nov 2009, here) and an interview on The Tubridy Show (03 Nov 2009) here.

The book will be launched in Dublin by Theo Dorgan at 4 Dame Lane, Dublin 2 (between Trinity Street and South Great Georges Street: watch out for the flaming torches!) on Monday 09 November, at 7.00 pm. And there will also be an event in the author's native Portlaoise, where the book is set, on Friday 13 November 2009 at 6.30 pm in the Dunamaise Arts Centre.

I have heard very good reviews of this book in Canada, and my professors at university even recommended it! I wish I could find a hard copy of it here

Thanks for the encouraging comment. The book has been receiving very good press here: nice to learn that people are hearing about it over there too. The book should be available for you through Amazon or, if you prefer, direct through the Dedalus website. (Our mailing costs are the same whether you're in Cork or Canada!)
